Kyle Bunting
Kyle Bunting is a Texas-based product designer who works exclusively in hair on hide. He is noted for his wide selection of colors, designs and ability to create custom work in any size or shape for architectural and interior applications. His products are highly sought after in the interior market by both designers and clients for private and contract applications.
== Biography ==
Born in Greensboro, North Carolina and raised in Irving, Texas, Kyle Bunting was first introduced to the design potential of hide by his father Jim Bunting as a child. In his early years, he'd accompany his father to rodeos and fat stock shows in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area where they displayed and sold art, furniture, and rugs designs made of hide.
After spending several years in San Francisco renovating and reselling real estate, Bunting became familiar with and attracted to the interiors industry. Noticing a lack of quality hide for high end interiors, Bunting decided to pursue in earnest a business creating decorative hide solutions for leading interior decorators, architects, and designers.
The company, which was founded in March 2000, had initial prototypes and designs formulated by the fall of 2001 and started generating sales immediately through its web-site and word of mouth. The company entered the trade-only represented market in 2004 with DeSousa Hughes in San Francisco and David Sutherland Showroom in Dallas.
